A Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme: What Is It?

As a part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, CLSS seeks to provide lower- and middle-class citizens in the nation with affordable housing loans. Those who apply and fulfill the qualifying standards typically receive a lower interest rate on their home loans. Nonetheless, in order to qualify for this scheme’s benefits, candidates must fulfill a number of requirements.

Moreover, current interest rates are included in the calculation of a housing loan subsidy. It should be noted that the interest subsidy amount is contingent upon tenure and is capped at Rs. 2.35 lakh. The amount of EMI that must be paid is reduced when the aforementioned amount is subtracted from the original loan amount.
