Nipun Bharat: According to NEP 2020, “The top priority of the education system will be to achieve universal foundational literacy and numeracy in primary school by 2025. This policy will be relevant to our students only if it addresses the most basic learning needs (i.e. reading), writing, and Arithmetic at the foundational level) is achieved first. For this, a National Mission on Basic Literacy and Numeracy will be set up by the Ministry of Education on a priority basis. Accordingly, all State/UT Governments will strive to achieve universal basic literacy and numeracy in all primary schools. Will immediately prepare an implementation plan to achieve numeracy, identify phase-wise goals and targets to be achieved by 2025, and closely monitor and monitor their progress.

The following are the beneficiaries of the scheme.

  • The scheme emphasizes children in the age group of 3 to 9 years.
  • It also supports students from preschool to grade three.
  • Children without basic skills and studying in classes 4 and 5 will be offered peer support, tutor guidance, and additional learning materials to strengthen their academic competencies.
  • Also, Nipun aims to meet its set objectives by 2026-27 through private and government-aided schools. This will help in achieving universal achievement of FLN skills.

What are the features of the Nipun Bharat Mission?

These are the benefits offered by the NIPUN scheme to the beneficiaries.

  • The goals or targets of this plan are similar to those of the Literacy Foundation and Numeracy or goals for Sochi.
  • So it plans to achieve the expected learning outcomes by the end of Class III. The scheme has shifted the target from kindergarten to class three to create awareness of this target among parents, volunteers, the community, etc.

  • Encourage children to learn faster for future needs like employment and life decisions.
  • Then create creative assessments like quizzes, games, polls, and more.
